She obtained a degree in Lettere Classiche with a specialization in Archaeology at the University of Naples “L’Orientale”. She continued her studies through a Masters in historical and religious subjects. In December 2008 her first one-woman photographic exhibition, Punti di Svista, about the city of Naples and its cultural and naturalistic heritage meant that she was invited to the Capri Art Film Festival 2009 as a special guest. During the same year she was in Prague, taking part to the photojournalism courses with Transition Online and coming back in Italy she obtained the Institutional Italian Press Card (Ordine Nazionale dei Giornalisti). In 2010 she moved to Rome to attend a master in Photography at the European Institute of Design. Machi di Pace is a freelance photographer, but she also writes and shoots for an on line magazine. She is now homebased in Naples, Italy.
